1. Get all the items you will need together:
* 7/32 Drill Bit
* Small Round File
* Contents of Xmods Model Rim Adapters
2. Take your Xmods Model Rim Adapters out and with your small round file, file down any ruff edges:
3. After smoothing any ruff spots on the adapters, you will need to take the model rim you are wanting to fit and examine them to make sure that the Model Rim Adapters will fit on the rims you want to install them on. You want to ensure that there is enough "rim material" all away around the adapter that it will have a solid foundation to glue to. A 1/8" all away around is good.
You will have to remove anything in the "rear" (unseen) part of the model rim that will interfer with drilling the 7/32" hole needed to install the adapter. Example: The rim we are using below, will need to have the "axle stem" totally remove before we can drill the pilot hole for the 3/32" hole.
4. Once all the rear axle stem is removed, we take a 3/32" drill bit and drill a hole in the exact center of the rim. Make sure you drill from the rear of the rim to the front of the rim. Drill slowly and carefully, as not to damage your model rim. Once you have drilled the pilot hole, change drill bits and drill the pilot hole with a 7/32" drill bit (rear of the rim to the fron of the rim). Apply light pressure as we do not what the drill bit to grab a big chuck of material (this will ruin your rim).
6. Allow 2-4 hours for the glue to dry and then install them on your Xmods. Your done.... Enjoy!
